Sometimes brilliance can't be chunked down. Green article cards contain full articles that are so dang thrivable, you simply must read the whole thing! Not every long-form piece we love is here in this wiki as an article, though. For a more complete compilation of books and think pieces, see our referral list and recommended reading cards.

Thrivability has a past. The set of blue sketch cards is a collection of previous efforts from 60 contributors from different fields who came together in 2010 to frame the field. They describe actions, qualities, cycles, and values observed to contribute, big time, to thriving. But, the sketch is still a living entity! Through our salons and conversations, we'll continue adding sketch entries together as our community grows! Learn how to use the wiki to contribute to sketch cards.

Core concepts are key utilities for understanding and practicing thrivability as we understand it today. They link or underpin ideas that appear throughout the knowledge base of Thrivable Society. Core concepts show up regularly in our community activities. Understanding these concepts gives us a shared foundation for having conversations here. Let us know if there are concepts that you believe belong here.

Icon cards explain, well....other cards! You'll see icons used across this wiki in the top right hand corner. These icons mark whether the content handled in the card is an ACTION, QUALITY, CYCLE, or VALUE - more about these categories are in the red icon card themselves. Organizing concepts, articles, and sketches in this way helps create some much needed clarity around how we can use lofty ideas in service of embodying thrivability in the world! Originally, these categories come from the 2010 Thrivability Sketch.

Because we are PROS who like to write poetic prose, we think in scales such as:

  • Personal
  • Relational
  • Organizational
  • Systemic

As we expand this space, look for this scaling pattern in our tools, practices, and resources.
