This familiar concept focuses our attention on the patterns made by our creative connections.
We focus a lot on network rather than system or community. It helps to specify why this arises in the current thrivability work.
Network focuses on the players and their relationships. A community has a more rigorous limit of who can be included. A network allows for loose affiliation of a transitory nature. A system focuses attention on inputs and outputs, flows and behavior. One of the challenges of living systems is the boundary to artificially set. A network releases attention from that boundary.
We also focus on network because of an interest in Network Production.
