This concept points directly at an experience so ubiquitous that we often dare not speak its name.
There is a need to be explicit about embracing grief where it is often sidelined or repressed. Thrivability is not exlusively positive. It acknowledges loss, death, composting, mud, confusion, bafflement, and the stages of grief we all live in and through.
It has been said that our capacity for joy is intricately tied to our capacity for grief. Let us hold both the ups and the downs in equal measure.
