Community Netiquette
Thanks for being interested in playing us. We created this space for cooperation: a space for you, and all of us here, to sense, share, and build toward a more thrivable world. Of course the full limits spelled out in lush details can be found in our Terms of Service, this is your easy-to-read guidelines to make sure we make accessible the nuance we aspire to.
Play. We gather as a group beyond the egoic drivers that create frictions and lack of safety for folks. Assume good intention in others and be of great intention yourself. Focus on the balance between self and other, individual and collective.
Legal stuff. Copyright and all that. We may not be fans of enclosure, but we accept that we live in a society of enclosure. We value attribution.
Enjoy Thrivable Society! Celebrate your creativity and smarts, be social, and share what’s important to you. See the world through others’ eyes, participate, find your mentors, be a mentor, and expand your horizons!
Don’t assume other people get your jokes. We like to be obnoxiously silly and irreverent, slaughtering sacred cows together. But not at the expense of thrivable engagement together. Mind the difference.
Don’t be creepy or a jerk. Don’t vent your frustrations, insult, or bore the brains out of others. Don’t shame folks. Thrivable Society is not a venue for you to harass, abuse, shame, spam, impersonate, or intimidate others. If we receive a valid complaint about your conduct, we’ll send you a warning or delete your account. This is a best behavior policy not a how-bad-is-it policy. If we have to debate, the answer is not good enough.
If we want to be leading practitioners of a more thrivable world, then we act like it with each other. We do like to give second chances. However, when we discover you stepping across any of the lines listed above, we will take action, which may mean deleting your account with or without warning.
If you don’t feel that you can abide by our Guidelines as outlined above, maybe Thrivable Society isn’t for you. It is a big world. Have fun out there.
